We are looking for a dedicated, proactive, and experienced Research Software Engineer to join our diverse team in Atos.

Location:
  • Madrid, Barcelona,Valencia, Santander, Bilbao, Valladolid, Tenerife, Sevilla
  • Hybrid-mode

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software to address the requirements of several components and systems.
  • Test and document the resulting software to ensure proper operation.
  • Integrate software with other components using a microservices design pattern.
  • Prepare software applications for their deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Configure Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines using GitLab CI or Jenkins.
  • Write technical reports describing work done.
  • Participation in international Research and Innovation projects, having to interact with other companies, research centers and universities.

Education:
  • Requires a BS, Master, or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related disciplines.
  • Essential knowledge and professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Golang or C/C++.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing REST APIs.
  • 3+ years of experience preparing software applications for their deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • 2+ years of experience in using data processing tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi or similar
  • Ability to work with software configuration management tools such as Git or GitLab.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment.
  • Advanced experience working with Linux.
  • English level B2.

Additional knowledge:
  • Experience with data analytics and Machine Learning frameworks.
  • Systems specification using UML.
  • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of data spaces.
  • Participation in European research projects.

Competences:
  • Fluency in English.
  • Good writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong personal soft skill sets: Communicative, enthusiastic, highly collaborative, proactive, self-driven.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies quickly
